With the completion of the southern extension of Line 2, the bottleneck of turning back and forth in front of Optics Valley Square Station in the past six years has been broken, and passenger waiting time will be further shortened.
After entering the running map stage, Line 2 will be put into operation with 60 trains on the entire line. The shortest running interval during peak hours will reach 2.9 minutes, and the shortest running interval of Wuhan Rail Transit Line Network will reach 3 minutes.
After running the map, the first train time of some stations on Line 2 and Airport Line will change slightly. In addition, in order to better meet the travel needs of passengers, Metro Lines 3, 4, 6, and 7 also made adjustments to add trains last weekend, and the first train times at some stations on the above lines will be slightly adjusted.
During the trial run of the new line, there is the possibility of emergencies due to unstable equipment, which may affect the operation of the main line. In the event of an emergency, please follow the instructions of the on-site staff. Wuhan Metro will do its best to reduce the impact of the new line's trial operation on passenger travel. Passengers are asked to provide understanding and support while allowing sufficient time when traveling.

According to the reply, the southern extension of Metro Line 2 is expected to open in March 2019.
